Choosing a type
The list holds the primitive types and every named type in the runtime's metadata, such as SpWeightsWeightV2Weight or the subnet and stake structs. You can also write a composite type: Vec<u16>, Option<AccountId32> or (u16, u64).
Reading the result
- Integers are little-endian. A
Compactinteger uses one to five or more bytes, depending on its size. - Balances are in rao, the smallest unit: 1 τ is 1,000,000,000 rao. Alpha uses the same nine decimals.
- If the type used fewer bytes than you pasted, the page says how many were left over; that usually means the type is wrong.
