Install all Node.js dependencies

npm install

Compile TypeScript source to JavaScript in the dist/ directory

npm run build

Create a .env configuration file with required environment variables including ARENA_API_URL, VALIDATOR_MNEMONIC or VALIDATOR_SECRET_SEED, VALIDATOR_SS58_ADDRESS, BITTENSOR_ENABLED, BITTENSOR_WS_ENDPOINT, and BITTENSOR_WEIGHT_INTERVAL_MS

cp .env.example .env

Start the validator daemon in production mode (runs node dist/index.js)

npm start

Start the validator daemon in development mode with hot-reloading(optional)

npm run dev
