About this chart

The chart follows the alpha price in τ. Each period starts at its opening price and steps through the mechanisms below, in a fixed order, to its closing price: a step that rises pushed the price up, one that falls pushed it down, and its height is how far it moved the price. A thin line carries each close into the next period’s open; it is dashed where the two differ. The faint candle behind each period is the market’s own open, high, low and close, for context.

With many periods on screen (90 days, or hours), the steps would be too thin to read, so the chart draws the price as a line instead and colours each period by the mechanism that moved it most. Hover a period for the full step-by-step breakdown.

Protocol buy: The chain spending excess emission TAO to buy alpha from the pool. A permanent protocol buyback; it pushes the price up.
Root sell: Root-dividend claims sold into the pool; they push the price down.
User buy / sell: Staking into and unstaking from this subnet.
Cross-subnet: Swaps from other subnets routed through this pool.
Residual: What the decomposition cannot attribute to a mechanism. It is always shown, never folded into another part.

Not here, because they do not move the spot price: the per-block TAO injection into the pool, and burns.

All figures are log changes, not simple percentage changes, so the parts add up exactly to the total; on big moves the two differ (a 10% log fall is a 9.5% price fall).

What CapabilityForge Next does

Training data quality directly determines AI model performance, yet identifying which data improvements actually increase accuracy and reasoning ability remains manual, subjective, and resource-intensive. Teams lack scalable ways to verify data provenance, detect contamination, and measure whether new training examples genuinely improve model capability rather than just increasing dataset size.

A decentralized network of contributors can propose, validate, and test data improvements under standardized conditions—with financial incentives tied to measurable gains in model performance, not dataset volume. Validators assess data rights, privacy, and lineage before patches reach evaluation; only improvements that demonstrably enhance accuracy, reasoning quality, calibration, and clarity earn rewards.

CapabilityForge Next (Subnet 119) implements this through a five-stage pipeline: miners generate bounded synthetic or appropriately licensed data patches with record-level provenance; validators verify data rights, privacy, contamination, and evaluation leakage; qualified patches are tested against a frozen baseline under identical training and evaluation conditions; improvements are scored across factual accuracy, reasoning steps, calibration, communication clarity, and safety; rewards reflect measured capability gains.

About

stale

CapabilityForge Next (Subnet 119) is a Bittensor incentive network for discovering training-data improvements that enhance learning-oriented AI accuracy, clarity, age-appropriateness, and safety. Miners generate bounded synthetic or appropriately licensed data patches with provenance; validators verify data rights, privacy, lineage, duplication, contamination, and evaluation leakage; qualified patches are tested against a frozen baseline to measure measurable capability improvements in factual accuracy, reasoning quality, calibration, communication clarity, and safety.

How it works

The subnet follows a five-stage pipeline: miners generate bounded synthetic or appropriately licensed data patches with record-level provenance; validators verify data rights, privacy, lineage, duplication, contamination, and evaluation leakage; qualified patches are tested against a frozen baseline under identical training and evaluation conditions; improvements are evaluated across five dimensions (accuracy, reasoning, calibration, clarity, safety); rewards are allocated based on measurable capability improvements.

Incentive mechanism

Qualified patches are evaluated on improvements in factual accuracy and task completion, reasoning quality and correct use of steps and units, calibration and honest handling of uncertainty, clear and age-appropriate communication, and safety without unnecessary refusal. Youth safety and data responsibility are mandatory.
