Link pointer builder

Builds the bittensor.json pointer that marks your subnet's on-chain repo or website as verified (v2, mainnet finney). Publish it at the root of the default branch of the repo your subnet identity names, and/or at https://<your subnet_url host>/.well-known/bittensor.json. This page makes no network calls and never asks for a key, seed or mnemonic.

Subnet owner coldkey (SS58, 5...)

This file is complete without a signature: publishing it where only you can write proves control. Publish it only if the coldkey is your subnet's owner coldkey now.

2. Optional: sign it

A signature adds evidence that the owner coldkey itself made the pointer. If you add one, it must verify, or the pointer fails.

The same bytes as hex

btcli: save the message to message.txt with no trailing newline, then btcli wallet sign --wallet-name <owner> --message "$(cat message.txt)". polkadot.js: a wallet extension, or polkadot.js apps (Developer, Sign and verify) with the coldkey account. Both forms of signature are accepted.

Signature (hex, 0x optional)

This page cannot check the signature. Before publishing a signed file, verify it in polkadot.js apps (Developer, Sign and verify, Verify) or with the Python snippet on the ownership-proof page. A signature that does not verify makes the pointer fail.
